Austin ICC App · Last updated October 5, 2026
1. Introduction. The Austin ICC App ("the App") is a ministry tool of the Austin International Christian Church ("Austin ICC," "we"). This policy explains what member information the App holds and how it is protected. It is written to align with the ICC Administration Policies and Procedures and the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (effective July 1, 2024). It is a ministry policy, not legal advice.
2. Information we collect. Member directory information provided by the church administration: name, app username, phone number, role or ministry assignment, Bible Talk group, discipleship goals, and giving records you choose to generate (e.g., PDF giving receipts). The App does not collect location data, and does not sell personal information.
3. How we use it. Information is used only for ministry purposes: discipleship, communication, event coordination, contribution counting, and church administration. Consistent with church policy, anyone serving in a counting or financial role treats all information encountered as confidential.
4. Who can see it. Access is role-based. The Board of Directors and the church administrator have full administrative access. Bible Talk leaders see only the members of their own Bible Talk group (women leaders see the women of their group). Other ministry roles see only what their assignment requires.
5. Your rights. You may request to see, correct, or delete your personal information, or ask questions about how it is used, by contacting the church administrator. We will respond to verified requests without undue delay, consistent with Texas law. You may also ask that your information not be used for a purpose beyond ministry administration.
6. Retention. Ministry directory information is kept while you are part of the Austin ICC fellowship and removed or anonymized within a reasonable time after you leave. Financial records follow church policy: a 7-year retention on all financial records.
7. Children's privacy. The App is intended for the church fellowship, including families. Information about children under 13 is handled only with parental knowledge and consent, and parents may review or request deletion of their child's information at any time.
8. Security. We limit access to member information to those with a ministry need, and we review access when roles change. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we encourage members to keep their own devices and accounts protected.
9. Changes. If this policy changes materially, the updated policy will be posted in the App with a new "last updated" date.
10. Contact. Questions about this policy or your information: contact the church administrator, Marvin Alcantara, through the Austin ICC leadership.
